Takoma Park Friends Meeting-Preparative gathered on 3/17/2024 in the library of the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, following meeting for worship.
We heard and discussed queries from Baltimore Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice on the Meeting Community.
Tricia Crocker, treasurer, presented the treasurer’s report for the period 12/1/2023 to 3/17/2024 (attached). We accepted the report.
We considered the draft spiritual state of the meeting report for 2023 on first reading, and decided to finalize the text by circulating it by email.
We considered gifts to Quaker groups on first reading. This would involve $130 each for five groups – those to which amounts were given last year and adding Quaker Coalition for Uprooting Racism.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on April 21, 2024, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
