Takoma Park Friends Meeting-Preparative gathered on 5/10/2026 in the library of the Presbyterian church in Takoma Park, Maryland.
We heard and responded to the fifth set of queries from Baltimore Yearly Meetings’ Faith and Practice on personal way of life.
Arthur David Olson handed out copies of the minutes of our 3/29/2026 meeting. We approved these minutes as revised (attached).
Tricia Crocker handed out a budget-year-to-date treasurer’s report (attached). Tricia noted that given that there was no April meeting, there is no April treasurer’s report. Tricia noted transactions involving the $15,000 loan to Adelphi. We accepted the report.
Arthur David handed out material (attached) on gifts to Quaker groups and gifts to community group. We heard a desire to support anti-hate work. We heard a desire for continued support of Scholar Chips, Shepherd’s Table, and Right Sharing of World Resources Ellen Sarrett undertook to research local anti-hate groups.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on 6/21/2026 at the rise of meeting, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
