Takoma Park Friends Meeting-(Preparative) gathered on 8/16/2026 in the library of the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, following meeting for worship.
We heard and discussed queries from Baltimore Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice on Outreach.
The treasurer’s report for the period 12/1/25 to 8/16/2026 was presented and accepted (attached).
We heard a nomination for Susan Rogers to serve as treasurer and Tricia Crocker to serve as assistant treasurer for the term starting Dec. 1, 2026, for one year.
We approved gifts to community groups , involving a gift of $200 to each of the six groups supported last year, namely CASA de Maryland, Maryland Alliance for Justice Reform, Meals on Wheels of Takoma Park/Silver Spring, Scholar Chips, Shepherd’s Table, and Village of Takoma Park.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on September 20, 2026, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
