Takoma Park Friends Meeting-Preparative gathered on 5/26/2024 in the library of the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, following meeting for worship.
We heard and discussed queries from Baltimore Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice on Personal Way of Life. .
Tricia Crocker, treasurer, presented the treasurer’s report for the period 12/1/2023 to 5/26/2024 (attached). We accepted the report.
We considered gifts to community groups on first reading: $130 to each of the following: CASA de Maryland, Maryland Alliance for Justice Reform, Meals on Wheels of Takoma Park/ Silver Spring, Scholar Chips, Shepherd’s Table, and the Village of Takoma Park.
We considered our Covid practices. We decided to drop the advice on masking and vaccines from our announcements. We decided to end meeting with a hand wave or a hand shake, depending on individual preferences. We decided to resume having shared meals together in person.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on June 16, 2024, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
