Takoma Park Friends Meeting-Preparative gathered on 8/20/2023 in the library of the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, following meeting for worship.
We heard and discussed queries from Baltimore Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice on Outreach.
Tricia Crocker, treasurer, presented the treasurer’s report for the period 12/1/2022 to 8/20/2023 (attached). We accepted the report.
We had a first reading for Tricia Crocker, Treasurer, to continue as Treasurer for the next one-year term beginning 12/1/2023.
We approved the following gifts to community groups for the current fiscal year: $125 to each of CASA de MD, Maryland Alliance for Justice Reform, Meals on Wheels of Takoma Park/Silver Spring, Scholar Chips and Shepherd’s Table.
We heard that Adelphi Friends Meeting has published a document on individual actions on climate sent to them from Takoma Park Meeting in 2016.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on September 17, 2023, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
