Takoma Park Friends Meeting-Preparative gathered on 4/21/2024 in the library of the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, following meeting for worship.
We heard and discussed queries from Baltimore Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice on Personal Spiritual Life. .
Tricia Crocker, treasurer, presented the treasurer’s report for the period 12/1/2023 to 4/21/2024 (attached). We accepted the report.
We approved gifts to Quaker groups: $130 each for five groups – Friends Committee on National Legislation, Friends General Conference, Right Sharing of World Resouces, FGC earmarked for Quaker Coalition for Uprooting Racism, and Friends Peace Teams.
We approved a subscription to Friends Journal for $36 and authorized the Treasurer to pay this amount in excess of the approved literature budget.
We approved the spiritual state of the meeting report for 2023 (attached), to be transmitted to Adelphi Friends Meeting
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on May 19, 2024, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
