Tricia Crocker, treasurer, handed out copies of a budget-year-to-date income and expense report (attached). Tricia reported having begun paying $20 per month to the Dance Exchange for storage. Tricia noted that the report now omits identifying information about our various accounts; reports are now to be posted on our web site. We accepted the report.
We considered gifts to Quaker groups and community groups. We heard a sense that visits from recipient groups might be a good use for second hours. We heard a concern that such visits might not be worthwhile for those groups. Tricia undertook to ask folks at Adelphi Friend Meeting whether joint visits would be possible.
We considered upcoming festivals. Erik Hanson is continuing efforts to pay for space at the festivals.
We laid down our ministry and organization committee, planning to carry out its charge corporately during second hours or otherwise, except that we empowered our presiding clerk to form ad hoc groups to consider requests to draw on our congregant aid fund.
Craig O’Brien undertook to prepare for a first reading of a treasurer nominating for our next preparative meeting.
We directed our recording clerk to consult with Adelphi Friends Meeting’s recorder about transferring records to them. We heard a desire to keep copies (either paper or electronic) of recent records. The recording clerk is to report back to us before any action is taken.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next 8/27/2017 at the rise of meeting, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
