Tricia Crocker, treasurer, handed out copies of a near-end-of-budget-year report (attached). We accepted the report.
Tricia and Craig O’Brien reported receiving apportionment surveys from Baltimore Yearly Meeting; Tricia plans to complete these and send them to Adelphi Friends Meeting.
We heard a suggestion to have both meeting for worship and a holiday gathering at another site on 1/7/2018 (since a dance institute is scheduled at the Dance Exchange that day); Tricia undertook to identify a site for the gathering and to report to our 12/17/2017 preparative meeting.
Craig reported that tithe.ly makes a mobile app available for free, but charges $59 per month for fuller service; we gave up on tithe.ly.
Craig reported setting up a new, free mailing list for testing; Craig described features of the new list and asked for help with testing. Tricia and Arthur David Olson undertook to help. Craig also plans to look in to a Yahoo group as a possibility.
Craig asked for permission to use the meeting’s post office box for correspondence with a prisoner; we happily gave permission.
Tricia reported that on 11/12/2017 Adelphi Friends Meeting approved Tricia as Takoma Park treasurer and Adelphi assistant treasurer for Takoma Park from 12/1/2017 through 11/30/2018.
We heard a first reading of Arthur David Olson to serve as Adelphi liaison.
We agreed to meet at Tricia Crocker’s home on 12/31/2017.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on 12/17/2017 at the rise of meeting, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
