Takoma Park Friends Meeting-Preparative gathered on 7/20/2025 in the library of the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, following meeting for worship.
We heard and discussed queries from Baltimore Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice on Caring for Others.
The treasurer’s report for the period 12/1/2024 to 7/20/2025 was presented and accepted (attached).
We considered gifts to community groups for the current budget year in preparation for the first reading next month. Allocating a $1,300 total to the six groups supported last year would involve a gift of $216 to each group. Some attenders will do research into the financial situation of the potential recipients. The idea of adding Small Things Matter was raised.
We discussed raising with Adelphi Friends Meetings changing procedures for approving business decision in this meeting, without any specific recommendation for how that might be done.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on August 17, 2025, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
