Takoma Park Friends Meeting-Preparative gathered on 12/16/2018 at the Dance Exchange in Takoma Park, Maryland.
We heard queries and advices from Baltimore Yearly Meeting Faith and Practice on the environment. We heard of concerns on global warming, hope that many are taking action, and wondering what each of us should do in our own lives and to encourage others. We heard of the spiritual dimension of the environment.
Tricia Crocker, treasurer, handed out copies of the year-end treasurer’s report and year-to-date report (attached). Contributions sufficed for us to make budgeted contributions to organizations for FY 2018. We accepted the reports.

We reviewed a communication from the Ministry and Pastoral Care Committee of Baltimore Yearly Meeting on preparation of a spiritual state of the meeting report, and held some initial discussion. We will review our last two reports to see how to follow up on them.
We continued discussing the wording of a flyer about the Meeting to be posted on bulletin boards and in businesses.
We reviewed material from FGC on welcoming diverse newcomers, and will follow up.
The place for the holiday gathering Jan. 6 remains to be determined.
We heard and approved these minutes. We adjourned, to gather next on 1/27/2018 at the rise of meeting, or at the call of the presiding clerk.
